Plant your dreams. Grow your roots. Watch your future bloom.

Hi! My name is Gideon Oakes, and I’m a Realtor® with The Real Estate Group, Inc. in Rapid City, SD. In addition to my background in business, marketing and communication, my local heritage plays a key role in my ability to help my clients buy and sell Black Hills property.

My family came to the Hills in 1918 and were early pioneers of the area. My great-grandfather, C.C. Gideon, built and operated the State Game Lodge with his family in what would come to be Custer State Park. He also laid out Iron Mountain Road with Senator Peter Norbeck and designed the famous Pigtail Bridges. Our family home near Keystone is on a section of my great-grandparents’ ranch. My family legacy has ingrained in me a culture of friendly customer service and a deep-rooted love for the Black Hills.

As a fourth-generation Black Hills resident, I am proud to call this area my home. As your real estate professional, I will dedicate myself to making your real estate project as painless as possible. My service philosophy is, “I only work with friends and family.”
